Good Morning! Reminder: School Store Fundraiser envelopes with Prize Code MUST be turned in today to receive the digital watch/fitness tracker. When you add enough email contacts, it will give you a prize code to write on the envelope. That prize code will be verified and students will receive their tracker TODAY. This is the only day that they can earn the fitness tracker! Thank you for your continued support of CMS!

Hello Parents, Today, your child is bringing home a Parent Information Envelope letting you know about a safe and easy way for our school to raise funds for essential tools our students and teachers need to succeed. The SchoolStore fundraiser is 100% online so there is no face-to-face selling, handling money, or delivering products. Your participation will take less than 12 minutes, and there are exciting prizes to make it fun for the students. Here is all you need to do to participate: 1. Go to https://www.schoolstore.net/sid.t?0000008813 to sign up. 2. Send form emails inviting family, friends and co-workers to support your child. 3. Return the Envelope with the Student Prize Code to school for your child to get their fun participation prize. Be sure to ask your child for the Parent Envelope tonight. TIK TOK CHALLENGE - PLEASE SHARE & JOIN IN THE FUN!

All St. Landry Parish schools and facilities will be open to students Tuesday, August 31, 2021, with the exception of Cankton Elementary, Eunice Junior High (follow pre-hurricane hybrid schedule), Port Barre Middle, Port Barre High School, and Washington Career and Technical Education Center. The above-mentioned schools will continue at-home learning for students. You will receive additional information from your school’s administrator. Students attending the St. Landry Parish Virtual Learning Academy will be contacted with additional information regarding coursework.

All SLPSB schools and facilities will be closed Monday, August 30, due to the impending landfall of Hurricane Ida. Continue to follow our district app, district Facebook page, local news outlets, and the district website for updates on the reopening of schools next week.

The PenWizard Club applications and writing entries are due by this Wednesday, August 23, 2021. Students may receive an application from Mrs. Ortego, room 58, down the 6th grade hall. All forms must be turned in by this date to be considered. Thank you, Mrs. Ortego
