This year the St. Landry Parish School Board will host a summer learning program for children in grades K through 8, providing not only Language Arts and Math tutoring in a small group setting but also enrichment experiences that will enable students to excel in the 2021- 2022 school year. Students will have opportunities to take virtual field trips, learn about science and technology, engage in social living projects, play sports, and develop an appreciation for art, theater, music, and more.
The 4-week program will be offered June 7th through July 1st.
Students will be offered transportation to and from the program, and meals will be provided.

CONGRATULATIONS!! Creswell Middle School students have earned a free JEAN DAY! All students may wear jeans with a CMS uniform shirt on Friday, March 12th! Jeans may NOT have holes, rips, or tears in them. All students must wear their school ID because it is part of the school uniform. OPELOUSAS, LA -- Hazardous road conditions, widespread water and power outages, parish-wide diminished water pressure and boil advisories, as well as ensuring the overall safety of our students and employees necessitates the closing of schools Thursday, February 18, 2021. Additionally, administrative offices will be closed to the public.
We will continue to consult with school administrators, the National Weather Service, and the Office of Emergency Preparedness in the decision-making progress regarding the re-opening of schools.
Stay informed of future decisions regarding school reopenings via our SLP app, our district website and our social media pages.

OPELOUSAS, LA -- St. Landry Parish Public schools and administrative offices will be closed Wednesday, February 17, 2021. Hazardous road conditions and power outages have resulted in the district’s decision to close facilities for our students, bus drivers, and employees’ safety.
We will continue to monitor road conditions and consult with the NWS and the Office of Emergency Preparedness (OEM) in order to ensure the safety of our students and employees. This message is ONLY for 5th grade Creswell Middle School VLA students. 5th grade CMS students will begin receiving face to face instruction every day for face to face students on Wednesday, February 10th. If you want to remove your child from the virtual program and return to every day face to face instruction please contact the school office at 337-942-4892 for further instructions.
